This is an exciting year for McCAM Insurance as we are quickly approaching our centenary. We are celebrating our 98th year serving the Durham Region in 2011. Our firm, McCAM Insurance Brokers Limited was formed in 1971. Its roots began with McMurtry Insurance in 1913. From this beginning, progress has been accomplished through hard work and acquisitions of various agencies, progressions being.

This has resulted in our firm becoming a major factor in the marketing of general insurance, and one of the largest general insurance brokerages in the Oshawa area.

In 1978 Colin McIntosh joined the firm. In 1991 he became President. In 2010 Colin’s son Rorie McIntosh became President.

McCAM Insurance is a member of the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO), and belongs to the Registered Insurance Brokers Assocation of Ontario (RIBO). We believe professionalism and education are an important part of our job, and belonging to these organizations makes insurance brokers more effective at helping clients with their insurance needs.
